Terms of Use

1. Acceptance

By using SecureWebScan, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Authorisation

You warrant that you are authorised to scan the target URL. You must either own the domain or have explicit permission from the domain owner. Scanning domains without authorisation may be illegal in your jurisdiction.

3. Service Description

SecureWebScan performs passive and optionally active security checks against the target URL. Active checks (such as admin path probing) send HTTP requests that may appear in the target's access logs. The scan makes approximately 20–40 HTTP requests to the target over 30–60 seconds.

4. No Warranty

The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. Security scan results are informational and may contain false positives or miss vulnerabilities. Do not rely solely on this tool for security assessments.

5. Limitation of Liability

SecureWebScan shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use of this service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages from scanning unauthorised targets.

6. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SecureWebScan, its operators, and its hosting providers from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, including scanning targets without proper authorisation.

7. Data Retention

Scan results are stored temporarily (typically 1 hour) and then automatically deleted. We log the requesting IP address, scanned domain, and timestamp for abuse prevention. These logs may be retained for up to 30 days.

8. Rate Limiting

Usage is limited to 5 scans per hour per user. Attempts to circumvent rate limiting may result in temporary or permanent blocking.

9. Abuse

Do not use this service to harass, attack, or disrupt any website or service. Abuse reports can be sent to [email protected].

10. Changes

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
